LAPD Investigates Rapper Clifford Harris For Sexual Assault Allegation

Los Angeles news and crime info.

The Los Angeles Police Department is looking into the accusations that rapper Clifford Harris and his spouse Tameka drugged and sexually assaulted a woman back in 2005.

According to the Daily Beast’s initial report, the unnamed woman approached police back in April to report that Tameka and Clifford Harris/T.I. took her to their hotel room after meeting at a club. In the room, the duo allegedly asked her to accompany them to the bath and then asked her to remove her clothes. The last thing she remembers from that night is being on the hotel room couch after experiencing sickness from a beverage that Tameka gave her.

Rapper Clifford Harris and his spouse have come out with a statement through their attorney, which talks about the following. No law enforcement officer from any jurisdiction in this nation has contacted the couple, and the latter has not talked to them either. Granted that the Daily Beast’s story is almost accurate, it seems the accuser has decided to stay anonymous once again.

That does not allow the American rapper, his wife and lawyer to be in a situation where they could refute or even look at the woman’s allegations. The statement also makes it clear that the parties at the receiving end of the allegations do not know anything about the accuser or her claims.

This is not the first time that someone has alleged that the couple committed sexual assault against them. Eleven other women have said that they experienced similar incidents involving the couple, including Rachelle Jenks from Las Vegas. All of them reported their claims to law enforcement earlier this year, and Tyrone Blackburn represents them. Some of those accusers have even sued the couple for defamation.
